Dustin Tavenner, DC
Dr Dustin Tavenner achieved his Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Montana. His passion for helping people naturally steered him to the Chiropractic field. He attended the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL. Here he furthered his understanding of the human body while serving as the University’s Athletic Director before graduating in May of 2008. After graduation, he spent a year working as an Associate Doctor in a Chicago clinic focusing on Spinal Decompression, Pain Management and Physical Therapy. He was then offered a job working with a physical therapy office providing treatment plans for patients involved in personal injury and workman’s compensation cases. He spent 1.5 years working with the physical therapy office before deciding to open Lakeshore Chiropractic and Rehabilitation Center (LCRC) in 2010 which continues to serve the Chicago Loop. In 2017, Dr Tavenner and his close friends from Chiropractic school decided they wanted to bring their Chiropractic experience and care to the West Town neighborhood. Here they opened TEAM Chiropractic and Physical Therapy. TEAM Chiro and PT focuses on diversified care which includes soft tissue manipulation, chiropractic adjustments, corrective exercise and movement analysis.
Joe Meeting, DC
Dr. Joseph Meeting, DC, graduated from National University of Health Sciences with his Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine degree and from Ohio University with his Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science and Sport Physiology. After receiving his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), he worked as a personal trainer while performing his undergraduate and graduate studies. Personal training and a rugby injury in college led to his pursuit of becoming a Chiropractor.
Dr. Meeting believes in a whole body, functional approach to treatment. He is a certified Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) Exercise Trainer and is full body certified (Upper, Lower, Spine, Active Palpation with SFMA, Master’s, Long Tract Nerve Entrapments, Complex Protocols with multiple re-certifications) in Active Release Technique (ART), a premiere soft tissue therapy used by people throughout the world, including many professional athletes. He has also received significant training in acupuncture, Manipulation Under Anesthesia (MUA) and Lower Body Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehabilitation (FAKTR). In 2014 he became the first chiropractor to become part of the Swedish Covenant Hospital Network.
Dr. Meeting has trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Team Redzovic in Lincoln Square since opening his practice in 2010. He also lives a gluten-free lifestyle and was the first physician member of the Paleo Physicians Network in the city of Chicago. He is a strong believer in the power of nutrition and eating healthy to change people’s lives. Dr. Meeting is always striving to grow and learn for the benefits of his patients.
